Because of current iOS Maps failures, Apple is now Searching ex-Google Maps Engineers.

It’s no secret that Apple’s iOS Maps is currently a failure, and that’s probably putting it lightly. In the past days since iOS 6′s release, I’ve seen countless memes, gifs, blogs, posts, etc. all poking fun at it’s failures. Even Motorola joined in on the fun with their ad campaign. With that said, you better believe that Apple has been listening and isn’t just going to sit back and have themselves continuously ridiculed and embarrassed. After all, we know the high pedestal that Apple puts themselves on.
I’m sure Apple sat back and thought to themselves, “what’s the quickest and most effective way to improve iOS Maps?” I’m sure it didn’t take them long enough to turn to Google’s ex engineers that were so instrumental in creating Google Maps, which is hands down better in every way than iOS Maps. According to sources, Apple is targeting plenty of Google’s ex employees who frivolously worked on Google Maps, more specifically a certain contractor that worked closely on Google’s much popular “Street View” feature. According to this engineer, once Street View was mostly finished, this made Google direct their attention to indoor mapping, things started to become less interesting for him and his colleagues and thus prompted them to look for work elsewhere. Here’s how he described the situation via Techcrunch:
Many of my coworkers at Google Maps eventually left when their contracts ended or on their own accord. One guy looked around for other GIS work and ended up at Apple when a recruiter contacted him. He had heard rumors for a while that Apple was going to develop its own in-house mapping platform, and given his experience at Google, he was an easy hire. Apple went out of their way to bring him down to Cupertino and he’s now paid hansomly as a GIS Analyst. Another coworker that was a project lead at Google Maps, left for the East Coast after his contract ended, and was recently contacted by an Apple recruiter. The position sounds like a product development manager position, and will pay him $85k+ and all the moving expenses from the East Coast. He’s gone through 2 rounds of interview and seems like a frontrunner to land that position.
I’m sure this isn’t what you Android fans want to hear, but according to him, Apple’s Maps has a good shot at becoming just as good as Google Maps one day. While he did say there’s a lot of catching up to do, it is definitely within reach:
Apple has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to build a robust mapping platform to counter Google Maps, so it doesn’t surprise me that it’s going out of its way to lure former and current Google Maps employees. At Google Maps, we know what data’s important, rendering priorities, keyword searches, and how the user experience is suppose to be. However, Apple needs to find a way to get its own 5 million miles of street view data, partner with the right folks, and spend a fortune on licensed data – which it can.
So what do you guys think about this? Do you think with Google’s ex employees’ help, iOS Maps will actually compete with Google Maps one day? I’m sure some will bothered that these guys are moving on to Apple and helping them out, but you also have to understand that most engineers like a good challenge, and working for Apple would definitely be an opportunity only a few would pass up. Also, the guy mentions a pay of $85k+ for the positions. I feel that was probably a typo as I expect that to be much higher.
Either way, looks like Apple is definitely listening to all of the scrutiny it’s receiving and is planning on doing something about it, in a huge way. For now, only time will tell on iOS Maps full potential.

In 2013 Android Hit 1 Billion

The very first smartphone platform ever to reach one billion devices will be Android.
And it will happen some time next year, according to IHS iSuppli. "For Google, this accomplishment highlights the success of its growth strategy for Android, which is based on providing the operating system as an open-source platform to third-party smartphone brands free of charge," the group's mobile analyst Daniel Gleeson wrote in a statement.
Don't expect Android's growth to dwindle any time soon, either. It's expected to hit 3 billion units by 2016, meaning iSuppli doesn't see any credible threats posed at Google in the next four years.
Of course, Google couldn't have done it without the many manufacturers that have also come to treat Android as their own.
Samsung is the most notable. It owns an astounding 30.6% of the mobile phone market as of last month. It toppled Nokia as the leader in the industry for the first time in 15 years.
And with more than 50% of American consumers now owning smartphones, and with Android as the most popular smartphone platform by far, owning that industry is a huge deal.
The conventional strategy for cell phones has always been to secure a deal with one carrier in regions like the US, because when you do that, the carrier will give you favorable terms.
But that seems to be less of a worry now when customers care about the phone more than the carrier these days. It will be interesting to see if this carrier-agnostic phenomenon continues.

IPHONE 5 Vs Samsung GALAXY S3

Iphone 5 Vs Galaxy S3
CLick On The Image For Bigger Size

Iphone 5 Vs Galaxy S3
Design and build
Apple's aluminum-and-glass iPhone 5 retains its super-industrial aesthetic, metal buttons and all. Its new, all-metal backing could look slightly less luxe than the Iphone 4s, but it will survive far more drops.

We find the GS3's design appealing, but shiny, glossy plastic doesn't scream "quality." That isn't to say that the GS3 is more prone to breaking or shattering than the other one; in fact, plastic has the benefit of scuffing rather than shattering. However, we do really love the GS3's in-hand feel, which is comfortable despite its much larger size.

Screen size and clarity
The iPhone 5's 1136x640 pixels on its 4-inch screen still yields 326 pixels per inch and gives the phone a 16:9 aspect ratio, wider than the iPhone 4S. However, Apple boasts that its sRGB display delivers 44 percent more color saturation and cuts down on glare.
Samsung's Galaxy S3 has the largest screen of the three, an 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED, which yields a 1,280x720-pixel resolution and a pixel density of 306 pixels per inch. Its size offers the most expansive real estate for watching videos, reading, and composing messages, but there are three minor drawbacks: the lowest pixel density of the trio, high reflection, and a dimmer maximum brightness than the iPhone 4S

Camera prowess
This is a tough call since all two phones bring their A-game here. The iPhone has set the benchmark in terms of camera phone performance for quite a while and the improvements to the iPhone 5's imaging system will no doubt cement its lead. These include improved low-light performance and a new panorama shooting mode that catches up to Android.
Of course Android devices in many cases surpass the iPhone. Samsung's Galaxy S3 has a sensor that offers the same 8-megapixel resolution as the iPhone 5, plus it features tons of fancy shooting modes like panorama and multishot burst mode
Battery life
The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with a slightly larger 2,100 mAh battery that lasted for well over 9 hours playing video. Apple is coy on the iPhone 5's capacity, but promises that its will offer 10 hours of video playback and 8 hours of Web surfing over LTE.
Of course, if you're constantly using battery-draining features like S-Voice on the Galaxy S3, or streaming video, no phone will last as long as you'd like.

IPHONE 5 Released

Finally, The Iphone 5 Released With No New scope, No Changes Except Thinner, Lighter, 4 Inch Retina Display And A6 Chip....
Do You Think These Changes Enough???
In My openion I think This Will Goes DOwn..
May be Its The Last Iphone.
Now Come To the Specifications..
Changes..
4-inch Retina display with a resolution of 1136x640 pixels100Mb LTE connectivitydual-band Wi-FiThe new iPhone is thinner - 7.6mm and lighter - 112 grams than Its 4S counterpartThe Apple's latest A6 chipset

The camera features the same 8megapixel sensor as the on on the iPhone 4S, but the sensor is 25% smaller this time. There is a newly announced panorama mode, which obviously stitches together full res photos as the sample showcased had 28megapixel resolution.
The Apple iPhone 5 also comes with an upgraded front-facing camera, which now supports 720p video recording.
The new specs sheet features three microphones, noise-cancelling earpiece, smaller speaker and brand-new Lightning connector. The latter is 80% smaller, has 8 pins and is reversible. An adapter for the old 30-pin cables has been announced as well.
The iPhone 5 is naturally going to run on iOS 6. Apple didn't announced any new and unseen iOS feature tonight, so we assume you've probably know everything by now. Still, you are more than welcome to check out our iOS 6 extended preview here.
The pre-orders for the iPhone 5 starts on September 14. The couriers will be knocking on your doors as early as September 21 if you live in USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Singapore or Hong Kong. 22 more countries will join the fun on September 28, while before the end of the year the iPhone 5 markets number will grow up to 100.
Unsurprisingly, the Apple iPhone 5 is going to cost $199 with a two-year contract in the States. And as the new signing joins the team, the 3GS is out of the door.
The 8GB Apple iPhone 4 and the 16GB iPhone 4S models will be still available for free and $99 on a contract, respectively.
